Xbox Rrod Fix
Is the Xbox RROD always gonna make the Xbox break even after fixed once?
Ive got an xbox with one..I brought it too a place that could fix it and they told me they could fix it but it would probably break again in a year. I wanted to know if that how all Xbox RROD fixes work. Does it just delay the Red Ring…or can I actually buy one that has been permanently fixed?
The only permanent fix to the RROD is to replace the components that were heat-stressed. This is why Microsoft usually just replaced the whole console when someone sent one in for a RROD “repair”.
Once a component like cpu, gpu or motherboard has been severely heat-stressed, it WILL fail eventually. These “fixes” only delay that by attempting to keep the components as cool as possible. The problem with that theory is that there is still a significant amount of heat produced.
